01 September 2026 - ALTEK Sustainable Solutions for the Global Aluminium Industry
As the global aluminium industry comes together at ALUMINIUM 2026 in Düsseldorf, ALTEK will be there with a clear focus: helping aluminium producers recover more value from their material, improve process efficiency and reduce the environmental impact of their operations.
Taking place from 6–8 October 2026, ALUMINIUM brings together the international aluminium community to explore the technologies, challenges and opportunities shaping the future of the industry. ALTEK will be exhibiting in Hall 6, Stand F51.
ALTEK is a technology-based solutions provider specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of equipment and systems for the global aluminium industry. Formed in 1985, ALTEK has developed specialist expertise in aluminium dross and scrap processing, combining decades of industry knowledge with technologies designed around the practical challenges faced by aluminium producers.
Today, ALTEK's solutions span casthouse technologies, dross and scrap recycling, metal recovery, furnace technologies, casting and zero-waste processing, supporting primary and secondary aluminium producers around the world. At the heart of that work is a simple objective: get more value from aluminium while reducing waste, energy consumption and environmental impact. Aluminium Focused. Sustainability Driven.
Aluminium has an important role to play in a more circular economy. Its ability to be recycled makes recovering and retaining aluminium units throughout the production process increasingly important – both environmentally and commercially. This is where ALTEK's specialist focus comes in.
From technologies designed to maximise aluminium recovery from dross, through to scrap processing and solutions for recycling process residues, ALTEK works across the casthouse and recycling process to help producers make better use of valuable resources.
Its portfolio includes dross and salt slag pressing and cooling, electromagnetic furnace stirring and scrap submergence, tilting rotary furnaces, metal casting systems and continuous molten metal analysis, alongside turnkey dross and scrap recycling solutions.
ALTEK also provides end-to-end zero-waste processing technologies through AluSalt™ and RAME™. AluSalt™ addresses the challenge of salt slag generated during rotary furnace processing by recovering aluminium and salts and converting non-metallic material into saleable products. RAME™, meanwhile, provides primary aluminium smelters with a salt-free approach to processing dross.
Together with ALTEK's wider technology portfolio, these solutions reflect a philosophy of looking beyond individual pieces of equipment and considering the aluminium process as a whole. Turning Aluminium Challenges into Solutions. Sustainability in aluminium production isn't only about introducing new technology. It is also about making existing processes work harder and smarter.
Improving metal recovery can mean retaining more valuable aluminium. Better furnace performance can contribute to lower energy requirements. Recycling dross, scrap and process residues can reduce material leaving the production cycle as waste. For ALTEK, these challenges are interconnected.
By combining specialist aluminium knowledge with equipment, engineering and complete processing solutions, ALTEK works with customers to identify opportunities to improve productivity, increase recovery and move towards more circular operations.
It is an approach built around both environmental and economic sustainability – because reducing waste and recovering more aluminium can be good for the environment and good for the bottom line.
Meet ALTEK at ALUMINIUM 2026
ALUMINIUM 2026 provides an opportunity for the ALTEK team to meet aluminium producers, recyclers and industry partners from around the world and discuss the challenges facing their operations.
Whether the priority is increasing aluminium recovery, improving casthouse performance, processing dross and scrap, reducing energy requirements or finding new ways to manage process residues, the ALTEK team will be available throughout the show to discuss potential solutions.
